⏳ The soft launch of your nosejob?
Hey there,
Yesterday turned into a full rest day.
I was up late the night before too excited about how good an idea a daily vlog for solo business creators would be. YouTubeing how great the Insta 360 Go 3 would be, what shots would make a fun vlog… and then woke up to think that would be quite boring for someone to watch everyday.
The thinking was that most (popular) vlogs are people doing cool stuff daily. Where’s the content for us with “boring” routines on laptops and going to the gym? Lol
Anyway, the day still had some great moments and takeaways:
💎 HALT principle (from a YouTube short): When you are sad/down, it is either you are hungry, angry, lonely or tired. Figure out which one and try and solve it.
💎 Happiness definition by Laurie Santos on the Knowledge Project: You want to be happy in your life and with your life. Think I am mostly happy in my life but have a deep desire to run a business and be creative daily that will make me more happy with my life.
💎 Also on that podcast, they discussed reference group bias and humans are wired to compare to a reference group that makes them feel bad to then strive for more. This made me reflect on when I started listening to podcasts in that it changed my reference group from my friends to these high achievers. This was inevitable for me, and it opened my eyes to what is possible but it has caused dissatisfaction, which isn’t entirely negative.
💎 Girl (what felt like multiple times): “I keep having breathing problems” | Guy: “Is this the soft launch of your nosejob?” - simply beautifully phrasing 😂
Kind regards,
Jay
